D&AD BRIEF

The artwork on this page was from the D&AD New Blood Awards brief that I took part in during my final year of university. When doing this brief that I chose I found myself looking at various idea's that would work within the brief given by D&AD and I looked at ways that I could show that GiffGaff could do more than just give back to it's customers which then my idea for a data sharing campaign come to life. The campaign created for GiffGaff is Data For Good and the idea with data for good is that people can use it to share mobile data to those who are most vulnerable and can't easily afford internet or who simply don't get as much. The aim with it is that using out of home media it would make the people feel interested when seeing it advertised on a billboard and would hopefully find it within them to scan the QR code shown and donate data via the website or app as well as using the billboard as a drop off box for old phones. When designing the campaign I decided the first thing to do which I thought would best was to some research on what GiffGaff do and what other companies do and be able to from my research and create my designs and pitch from there as well as my campaign. I found my designs progressed further the more into the brief and worked well with the colour scheme and style that I had done. This brief unfortunately did not make the submission point for D&AD New Blood Awards but I still strongly feel that this brief was a great brief and the design work created for it works strong and conveys a strong message.
